International Bereaved Mother’s Day

On top of Anencephaly and Acrania Awareness month, today is International Bereaved Mother’s Day. How fitting! I wanted to partake in CarlyMarie’s The Mother’s Heart “I See You Project” 2016 Carly is the one who created International Bereaved Mother’s Day as a means to help those who society tends to forget about on Mother’s Day. I am thrilled someone has created such an important day because no matter what “type” of child you’ve had; you are a mother!

Mother’s Day is a day of the year that we come together to celebrate all the mothers around the world. It’s a day that is supposed to bring joy, recognition, love and appreciation to these incredible women that do so much for humanity. If you have experienced the death of one or more of your children, struggle to conceive a child or are unable to fall pregnant at all, this day can often bring up feelings of isolation, unworthiness, pain and sadness. Much of society has forgotten the true meaning of Mother’s Day and fails to support and recognize all true mothers.

Today celebrates all mothers. From those who have empty arms, to grandmothers, all the way to those who have a large family; biological or not. We See You! To participate draw a Mother’s Heart on your hand, put it as your profile picture on social media and hashtag! Mine will be on Facebook, Pinterest and Instagram. I even geared my support to Anencephaly/Acrania to keep with this month’s project. Support all mothers!

Welcome to the Mother Hearts “I See You” Project for 2016!
